Blog

We are extremely happy to be open again for our regular guests and for those that haven't yet discovered what we have to offer here at our park and in the far north. This time of the year the fishing is fantastic with one of our guests catching a 15lb snapper surfcasting in the harbour just last week. Take advantage of these quieter times, get away and enjoy the peaceful surrounds our camp has to offer, listen to the birds in the early morning or take in the stunning sunsets. We have non powered and powered sites and cabins for those of you wanting an easy holiday with no camping setups involved.
Congratulations to Brendan and Chantal Longstaff for completing our survey and winning the prezzie card. Thank you to all our guests who participated in the survey. Your feedback helps us to get a picture on what you enjoy in the camp and where improvements are needed and what we can do to make your staff even more enjoyable. Awesome pictures of the Longstaff family enjoying their time here at the camp.
Winterless North Its that time of the year when many of our guests come to enjoy fishing, relaxing and the company of other like minded people who holiday in the Far North over the winter months. We have now got a table tennis table and a dart board and are looking forward to some healthy competition with our guests to see who can become the 2019 Winter Champions. We are sure this will be tons of fun and will keep the blog updated with pictures of the competition. No criteria to enter other than you must have a good time!!!! The fishing has been great, surfcasting or boat fishing, there is a constant flow of people at the fish filleting station.

Change of Name A change of name to Houhora Heads ( Wagener ) Holiday Park is taking place over 2019. Along with the new name comes this updated exciting website. In keeping the Wagener in the new name our guests will still have the ability to find us under Wagener or Houhora. We feel that we will increase guest numbers through the park as people use the internet to search for accommodation and that will often be done using names of towns or beaches and now we will be right there.
